Number of new private business entities in Tashkent could double
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In Tashkent, in 2019, it is planned to register up to 25,000 new private business entities, which is more than 2 times higher than the figure for 2018 (12,000). Such data was announced at a meeting in the capital’s khokimiyat on 16 February.
During the meeting, Sherzod Khadjizadaev, the first deputy governor of Tashkent for economic and entrepreneurship, noted that the announced plans will make it possible to create about 110 thousand new jobs in the capital (89 thousand in 2018), the press service of the Tashkent city administration said
The standard of living in the capital of Uzbekistan, the growth of its improvement largely depends on the tax revenues to the budget of Tashkent, where positive trends have also been noted. If in 2018 such revenues were planned in the amount of 11.5 trillion soums, in reality this figure was 13.5 trillion soums, most of which is intended for the further development of urban infrastructure.
This year, due to the growth of the industrial potential of Tashkent, it is planned to ensure tax revenues to the capital budget of 19.8 trillion soums, of which 3.6 trillion are planned to be spent on the arrangement of the main city of the country. In particular, it is planned to send 150 billion soums to repair the internal roads of the capital, whereas in 2018 3 times less money was spent for these purposes - 50 billion soums.
It is well known that the economic indicators of the capital of Uzbekistan occupy leading positions in a number of areas. This trend is planned to be developed in 2019, in accordance with the regulations of the President and the government of the country, investment projects worth 32 trillion soums are planned in Tashkent, including attracting foreign direct investment of US$2.7 billion.
At the same time, as Sherzod Khadjizadaev noted, each investment project has its specific task in the overall development strategy of the capital.
One of the most important indicators of the development of the capital is the internal regional product of Tashkent. If by the end of 2018, this figure was 53 trillion soums, then this year it is planned to increase the gross regional product to 62 trillion soums, including due to the growth in attracting foreign investment, the development of production and services in the capital, and the revitalization of private business.
