Number of Enterprises with Foreign Investment in Uzbekistan Exceeds 18,500

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As of 1 February 2026, Uzbekistan has 18,513 enterprises with foreign capital participation, according to the National Statistics Committee.

Of these, 4,282 are joint ventures, while 14,231 are fully foreign-owned.

Over the past five years, the number of enterprises with foreign investment has nearly doubled — increasing 1.9 times. The share of fully foreign-owned companies rose from 55.1% to 76.9%, reflecting growing interest from international investors in the Uzbek market.

China leads with 5,218 registered enterprises with foreign capital. Following China are Russia (3,190), Türkiye (2,149), Kazakhstan (1,221), South Korea (699), Afghanistan (647), the United Arab Emirates (413), Tajikistan (410), India (394), and Azerbaijan (368).
