Numbeo: Uzbekistan Among the Most Affordable Countries for Taxi Rides

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As of 4 September, 2025, data from Numbeo shows that the average cost of a taxi ride in Uzbekistan is just US$0.28 per kilometer.

This places Uzbekistan 124th out of 127 countries in the global ranking, making it one of the most affordable countries in the world for taxi services.

The highest taxi fares were recorded in Switzerland, Luxembourg, Albania, Bahrain, and Kuwait.

Conversely, the lowest prices were observed in Kyrgyzstan — US$0.23 per kilometer — and the Philippines — US$0.26 per kilometer.

Among CIS countries, Kazakhstan remains the most expensive for taxi services.

Other countries’ rates include: Azerbaijan — US$0.59/km, Russia, Armenia, and Ukraine — around US$0.40/km, Tajikistan — US$0.32/km, and Moldova and Belarus — US$0.30/km per kilometer.
