Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - In recent days, a coronavirus infection (COVID-19) has seriously threatened the world community. Therefore, in Uzbekistan, the necessary measures are taken to prevent the spread of this disease.
However, on 15 March, the first case of coronavirus infection was recorded in Uzbekistan. Therefore, today in the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, under the leadership of Prime Minister A. Aripov, a meeting of the Commission on Measures against Coronavirus in Uzbekistan and a briefing for representatives of the media were held.
The meeting provided detailed information on the work carried out in this direction. So, all educational institutions will be quarantined, practical measures will be strengthened, which is another important step in ensuring the protection of public health.
However, although not much time has passed since the message was transmitted about the first case of coronavirus infection in Uzbekistan, confusion is observed among some of our citizens. We emphasize that there is no reason for panic and excitement, since in our country all the necessary measures have been taken, there is an adequate supply of medicines. Additional doctors, a thermal imager and non-contact thermometers, personal hygiene products were allocated in the sanitary-quarantine points, and the effectiveness of the medical staff was strengthened.
Moreover, experiencing can increase a person’s stressful state, which can lead to a violation of the immune system. Meanwhile, people with weak immunity are more at risk of contracting this virus. Therefore, do not give in to panic and follow sanitary and hygienic rules.
Follow these World Health Organization recommendations for protection against the virus:
Wash your hands more often with soap, use alcohol antiseptic agents, especially after using public transport.
Refrain from touching the eyes, mouth, nose, avoid shaking hands.
When sneezing, coughing, cover your face with a handkerchief or elbow.
Try not to visit crowded places. Do not approach people with symptoms of the common cold and flu.
Temperature is one of the main and first signs of new pneumonia. If you have a fever, do not leave home.
If you have a fever, cough, or breathing difficulties, do not go to the doctor, but immediately call an ambulance at home. Ventilate the rooms often.
Keep up with the latest official coronavirus reports. Pay attention to the reliability of the news, get information from official sources.
We hope that we, together with the people, following these recommendations, will pass this test. I am sure that senators and deputies, together with senior officials of ministries and departments, as well as each of us, sparing our strength and energy, will make our contribution to the timely and effective implementation of measures taken in our country in this direction. In the end, the fight against this virus will give its results and it will be finished.
