No citizens of Uzbekistan among Spain attack victims

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Citizens of Uzbekistan were not among the victims of the terrorist attacks in Catalonia (Spain), which occurred on 17 August 2017, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan stated quoting preliminary information of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Madrid.

Uzbek ministry said that the Embassy is keeping in touch with the Foreign Ministry and other Spanish state structures.

People were hit by the van on the popular tourist strip in the Catalan capital on Thursday afternoon. In the result of attack, 13 people were killed and over 80 were injured.

Later in the Catalan municipality of Alcanar, there were two explosions. Pedestrians were also attacked in Cambrils. The terrorists were eliminated.
