Next-Generation Electric Buses Begin Operation in Andijan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Andijan has entered a new era of public transportation with the introduction of modern electric buses. The city has received “CAMPBELL” electric buses, manufactured in China, which will gradually be deployed on urban routes, providing residents with convenient and environmentally friendly transport.
Hokim of Andijan Region Shukhratbek Abdurakhmanov visited the new electric bus depot to review its operations. On the same day, the first buses were put into service on city routes.
A total of 100 electric buses were purchased by And Eco Transport LLC from a leading Chinese company. This project represents the largest transportation initiative in the country implemented for the first time by a private entrepreneur.
The key advantages of the new vehicles include environmental friendliness and economic efficiency: they produce no harmful emissions, do not require fuel, and operate with low noise levels.
Passengers benefit from modern amenities such as air conditioning, spacious interiors, electronic control systems for safe driving, and onboard surveillance cameras.
The launch of this eco-friendly transport system not only improves convenience for city residents but also marks an important step toward environmental protection and sustainable regional development.
