New York Mayor Eric Adams Visits Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Today, a delegation led by New York Mayor Eric Adams visited the Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The meeting was attended by Umid Safarov, Advisor to the Chairman of the Chamber, leading Uzbek entrepreneurs, and representatives of several business associations.
During the meeting, the parties discussed ways to deepen trade and economic cooperation, implement joint cooperative projects, and expand business links between Uzbekistan and New York.
Umid Safarov proposed preparing Uzbek entrepreneurs for entry into American financial markets through collaboration with the New York Stock Exchange, establishing business schools and accelerator programs in partnership with leading U.S. universities, as well as opening a joint professional training college in Tashkent.
Kamolat Mirzaaliev, Chair of the Small Business Association, suggested establishing cooperation with the New York Small Business Association and supporting the export of Uzbek products to the U.S. market. Entrepreneurs also presented proposals to expand agricultural exports, develop biochemical production, and implement innovative projects.
The meeting took place in a constructive atmosphere and is expected to serve as a catalyst for elevating bilateral business cooperation to a new level.
