Foreign Ministers of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and the US Secretary of State participated in the meeting.

According to the press service of the Uzbek Foreign Ministry, the foreign ministers of the countries of Central Asia and the US exchanged views on emerging common agenda, especially in the areas of economy, ecology and security.

Participants of the meeting discussed joint approaches to further development of regional cooperation.

The sides also discussed the situation in Afghanistan and prospects for involving the country in regional processes.

The Foreign Ministers of the six countries also discussed other issues of mutual interest.

The C5 + 1 format was established in 2015. The leaders of the foreign policy departments of the Central Asian countries and the United States held their first meeting in New York in 2015.
