New Year’s premiere on stage of the Bolshoi Theatre: “Five evenings” directed by Pavel Safonov
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On the eve of New Year the residents of the capital have a wonderful gift: for the first time in Tashkent on 23-24 December 2017, the Moscow Regional Theatre of the Young Spectator presents the drama “Five Evenings” based on Aleksandr Volodin’s play and directed by Pavel Safonov.

The female lead will be played by the famous Russian actress, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Nonna Grishaeva. The male lead will be performed by Alexey Ryzhkov.

Uzbekneftegaz and Theatre Friends Club were the general sponsors and organizers of the pre-holiday event. It should be noted that the “Theatre Friends Club”, created on the initiative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev within the frameworks of the meeting with the intelligentsia on 3 August 2017, is aimed at enhancing the creative and technical potential of the theatre, supporting and stimulating the artists’ groups, staging new productions and much more.

The playwright Aleksandr Volodin, who had a delicate feeling of life and love, wrote the play “Five Evenings” in 1958 with the following comments: “These are the evenings of searching, losing and happy finding of the one that everyone needs: love, warmth, pity. This play is about being true to yourself, your essence, that if a person goes all the way and does not betray himself, he will come to happiness...”

The famous play is familiar to a wide audience for the same-name film directed by Nikita Mikhalkov with Lyudmila Gurchenko as the female lead. As for the lead actress Nonna Grishaeva, she is also known as an actress of film and television, an impressionist, an anchorwoman and a singer.

The organizers envisaged a special event for young persons: gifted students of theatre academies and colleges will be provided with 200 incentive tickets for the play “Five Evenings”, specially allocated for students.
