Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- An official opening of the fifth Volkswagen and Škoda dealership in Uzbekistan took place in Samarkand, where the buyers were presented with cars of international brands. This dealership was opened jointly with the largest network of auto dealerships "Regal".
The opening ceremony was attended by foreign representatives of the Volkswagen and Škoda brands Jan Witt Managing Director of Volkswagen Group Rus and Petr Scholz - Head of the Škoda brand.
The new dealership offers Volkswagen Caddy minivans in three trim levels: Cargo, Kombi and Trendline, as well as the Škoda Kodiaq SUV in two versions: the five-seater "Ambition" and the top seven-seater "Style".
Jan Witt shared his impressions and said that he sees a huge potential for the development of the automotive industry in Uzbekistan for Volkswagen brands. Petr Scholts noted that the Škoda brand is starting to play a major role in the Volkswagen Group's strategy in the Uzbek market. It was also noted that the official presence of Volkswagen and Škoda in such a historical region as Samarkand, where the history of the state practically began, is an opportunity to become closer and more accessible and somewhere even dearer for Samarkand motorists.
The dealership provides a service center for Volkswagen or Škoda cars, designed for 7 posts with subsequent plans to expand to 12 posts. This will allow consumers to receive timely and high-quality service for the purchased vehicles.
