New Training and Simulation Center for Emergency Medical Staff Opens in Ferghana

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A new training and simulation center has been launched in Ferghana Region at the regional branch of the Republican Emergency Medical Services Center, the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan reported.

The center is designed for the training and retraining of emergency medical personnel, including ambulance crews and specialists in neonatal care, pediatric care, trauma, and urgent obstetric services.

Equipped with modern facilities that meet international standards, the center aims to improve the quality and responsiveness of medical care in the region.

The project was implemented under a grant agreement between the Republican Emergency Medical Services Center and the Korean International Health Foundation. According to the Ministry of Health, the center serves over 6,800 branch staff members and 308 medical teams.

The opening of the center in Ferghana is part of a national strategy to strengthen the material and technical base of healthcare institutions and to enhance the delivery of emergency medical services across the country.

Previously, similar training and simulation centers were established in Tashkent, Samarkand, and Nukus. The ministry plans to create such centers in all regions of Uzbekistan.

The Ministry emphasized that initiatives like this bring medical services closer to the population and improve workforce training, directly enhancing patient safety and the efficiency of healthcare delivery.
