New Tariffs for Heating and Hot Water from Veolia Energy Tashkent Approved

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — New tariffs for centralized heating and hot water services provided by Veolia Energy Tashkent have been approved in Tashkent. The decision was made based on the city hokim’s decree No. 767-14-0-Q/25 dated 27 October 2025, the company’s press service reported.

According to the document, the updated tariffs, calculated in accordance with current legislation, will take effect on 12 November 2025.

The base cost of one gigacalorie of thermal energy is set at 711,641 soums excluding VAT.

Tariffs for different consumer categories are as follows:

For households: 139,860 soums

For budgetary organizations: 952,797 soums

For legal entities: 342,296 soums

Residents of the capital will not pay the full cost of heating, as approximately 80% of expenses will be compensated from the local budget.

Veolia emphasized that the tariffs were approved by the hokimiyat based on economic calculations and technical data provided by the system operator. All collected funds are directed solely to supplying heat and hot water, as well as repairing and modernizing the city’s heating infrastructure.

The company continues large-scale modernization of heat networks and equipment. Ahead of the 2025–2026 heating season, hundreds of kilometers of pipelines are being repaired and upgraded, insulation restored, and boiler and pumping stations modernized.

According to Veolia, these efforts have already reduced heat losses from 44% to 33.4%, improving the stability and efficiency of heating.

Additionally, the company is implementing a transition to a closed heating system, which will increase energy efficiency, ensure reliable heat supply, and eliminate instances of discolored hot water.

Veolia Energy Tashkent has also published detailed calculations of the new household tariffs effective from 12 November. Including VAT:

Central heating will rise from 187.45 to 241.44 soums per 1 m² of heated area per day

The cost of 1 m³ of hot water with a meter will increase from 6,932.20 to 8,928.67 soums

For consumers without meters — from 27,072.15 to 52,303.39 soums per month per person

The company notes that the tariff revision aims to improve heating reliability and gradually upgrade the infrastructure that provides the capital’s residents with heat and hot water.
