New Secured Customs Warehouse for Chinese Cargo Opens in Samarkand
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 27 December, a new secured customs warehouse was officially opened in Samarkand Region at the “Ulugbek” logistics center of JSC “Uztemiryoilkonteyner.”
The ceremony was attended by the regional hokim A.M. Boboev, hokim of Pastdargom District Sh.Sh. Rakhmonov, head of the Ulugbek Foreign Economic Activity Customs Post A.M. Kurbanov, and representatives of relevant authorities.
The new warehouse was established in partnership with the Chinese company Indra Bonded E-commerce Services and is intended for the storage and rapid distribution of goods arriving from China.
The facility spans 1,500 square meters and is equipped with modern shelving systems, allowing for efficient loading and unloading of cargo from both railcars and trucks. The warehouse can store more than 200 tons of goods simultaneously.
The opening of this warehouse is expected to enhance the efficiency of import-export operations, strengthen the logistics capacity of Samarkand Region, and contribute to the development of the region’s foreign trade infrastructure.
