New Season of Uzbekistan’s Open Youth Ice Hockey Championship Kicks Off
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 26 September 2025, the new season of the Open Republic Ice Hockey Championship among youth teams will begin in Uzbekistan.
The tournament will feature competitions in the 10U, 12U, and 14U age categories, held at the country’s leading ice venues — Humo Arena in Tashkent and the Family Park ice rink in Samarkand.
For the 2025–2026 season, nine teams will take part:
Last season, the tournament was held in three age groups — 9U, 12U, and 15U. The champions were Humo-1 (Tashkent, 9U), Humo Academy (Tashkent, 12U), and Turan (Shymkent, 15U).
The championship plays an important role in the development of youth hockey, improving players’ skills, and fostering a new generation of athletes ready to represent Uzbekistan on the international stage.
The official opening ceremony will take place on September 26. The season’s first match, in the 14U category, will be held at Humo Arena’s small rink between Humo Sky (Tashkent) and Alma-Ata (Almaty).
