New rules of gas meters examination approved

The rules said that the gas meters can undergo regular examination when the meter’s usage term expires. Extraordinary and expert examinations can be also carried out.

The gas meters of individuals should be inspected once in four years and legal entities - once in two years.

According to new rules, the gas supply enterprises should inform the consumers on expiration of the usage term of gas meters. The notification should be sent 30 days prior expiration term.

The consumer should submit application for inspection and the gas supply enterprise should take off the meter within five days.

After examination of the meter, the consumer requests gas distribution company to install meter and they should install it in two days. The examination of the meter should not exceed three days.

The meters can be examined on request of law enforcement bodies, the rules said. The consumers can appeal results of examinations.
