New rules for admission to universities for the 2019/2020 academic year were announced.

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - In accordance with the resolution of the President, from 2019/2020 academic year, admission to higher educational institutions is carried out on the basis of:

- state order for industries and sectors with high demand for personnel with higher education;

- additional parameters of a differentiated pay-contract in areas of undergraduate, basic pay-contract to the graduate courses.

Also, from the academic year 2019/2020:

- persons with disabilities have the right to receive additional education in one of the forms of day, correspondence or evening education on the basis of an additional 2 percent grant to the admission quota;

- students of all courses enrolled on a contractual basis, at their request, shall be entitled to pay a contract, taking into account the presence or absence of scholarships;

- the sum of paid-contract education of correspondence and evening education cannot exceed the cost of paid-contract education established for the full-time form of the corresponding bachelor;

- it is allowed to participate in the competition in other areas of the graduate courses, except graduate courses based on undergraduate;

-the rectors have the right to independently determine the cost of training of foreign citizens on a tuition basis.

Now higher educational institutions have the right to organize training in the form of correspondence and evening education on a differentiated paid-contract basis in accordance with the directions of undergraduate education.

Admission to this form of education is carried out on the recommendations of relevant employers on the basis of an interview in areas relevant to work, with the condition of working out at least five years, at the expense of persons with work experience of at least 5 years.
