New posts introduced in the structure of the prosecutor’s office and internal affairs bodies

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) –– The Presidential resolution “On Measures to Further Improve the Management System of the Agricultural and Food Spheres” was adopted.

In accordance with the resolution, the main tasks of the Deputy Prime Minister for the development of agricultural and food sectors are determined.

The Deputy Prime Minister, in particular, ensures the effective implementation of the reforms defined in the Strategy for the Development of Agriculture for 2020–2030.

According to the resolution, the following posts are introduced in the structure of the General Prosecutor’s Office - those responsible for observing the requirements of legislation in the field of agriculture and food security, and overseeing their implementation:

- Deputy Prosecutor General;

- Deputy prosecutors of the Republic of Karakalpakstan and regions;

- Senior Assistant Transport Attorney.

In addition, the post of Deputy Minister of the Interior is introduced, responsible for a number of tasks, such as preventing unauthorized seizure of sown areas, monitoring the state of agricultural machinery.

The Office for the Supervision of the Implementation of Legislation in the Field of Agriculture of the General Prosecutor’s Office was renamed the Office for the Supervision of Implementation of the Law on the Development of the Agricultural and Food Spheres.

By resolution, the Main Directorate of Financial and Logistical Support of the Ministry of Internal Affairs was transformed into the Department of Financial and Logistical Support of the Ministry.

According to the resolution, khokims of districts and cities are given the authority to submit applications to the Goskomzemgeodezkadastra or its territorial departments for the use of unmanned aerial vehicles in order to study the actual state of agricultural sowing areas in the relevant territory.
