Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A new four-star Mercure Tashkent North hotel has officially opened in the Uzbek capital, operating under the management of the international hospitality group Accor.
The implementation of this project is seen as further evidence of the country’s growing investment attractiveness and the active development of its tourism infrastructure.
The hotel is located in close proximity to Tashkent International Airport, offering convenience for both international tourists and business travelers.
Combining modern service standards with comfort, the hotel offers a wide range of amenities, including contemporary rooms, a restaurant featuring original interpretations of national and international cuisine, conference halls for business and private events, as well as a spa area.
The opening ceremony brought together representatives of the tourism industry, the business community, the diplomatic corps, and government authorities. A cultural program showcasing Uzbekistan’s rich historical and cultural heritage was also presented as part of the event.
The launch of Mercure Tashkent North comes amid steady growth in the country’s tourism sector. In 2025, Uzbekistan welcomed 11.7 million foreign visitors, while the domestic tourism program “Travel around Uzbekistan” recorded 23.7 million trips across the regions.
The expansion of tourist flows is accompanied by the development of hotel infrastructure and the entry of international brands into the market. Global operators such as Hyatt, Hilton, Marriott, Accor, and Radisson are already present, contributing to improved service quality and a more competitive hospitality industry.
The sector’s development is supported at the state level. In line with adopted strategic programs through 2030, further expansion of hotel capacity, an increase in internationally branded properties, and the creation of favorable conditions for investors are planned.
The opening of Mercure Tashkent North strengthens Tashkent’s position as a key business and tourism hub in the region, while expanding opportunities for hosting international events and welcoming guests at a high level.
Mercure is an international midscale and upper-midscale hotel brand within the Accor portfolio, focused on combining global standards with the cultural and gastronomic identity of each destination.
