“New Jizzakh” Residential Complex to Include 50 Apartment Buildings, Schools, and Kindergartens

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Jizzakh Regional Hokimiyat has unveiled details of the “New Jizzakh” residential complex, planned for construction in the Sharaf-Rashidov district.

The town will be located in the Uchtepa mahalla on a 40-hectare plot adjacent to the regional center. The project roadmap has been approved by presidential decree as part of efforts to accelerate the socio-economic development of the region.

The complex will include 50 residential buildings with a total of 1,200 apartments. Its infrastructure will feature a school for 1,680 students, four kindergartens with 280 places, and a clinic with 200 beds.

More than a quarter of the area (11.58 hectares) will be allocated for green spaces, with 5.86 hectares occupied by buildings and facilities. The total length of internal roads will be 12.46 kilometers.

An administrative building housing 21 government agencies will also be constructed within the town. The project includes a 10-kilometer bypass road and the creation of a unified public transport system.

The Ministry of Construction emphasized that the project is not just housing construction but a modern urban model with localized infrastructure for living, working, and accessing services.

The roadmap also covers the renovation of 143 kilometers of regional roads and 30 kilometers of local roads, as well as the reconstruction of highways D-052 (Dashtabad — Zaamin — Bahmal — Gallyaaral), D-048, and D-051.

With the participation of the World Bank, the engineering and social infrastructure of nine mahallas in Sharaf-Rashidov district will be modernized, including schools, kindergartens, medical facilities, internal roads, electricity networks, and water supply systems.

The capacity of Jizzakh’s wastewater treatment facilities will be more than doubled, from 30,000 to 80,000 cubic meters. Additionally, a 10,000-cubic-meter facility will be built in the Jizzakh Free Economic Zone to serve industrial enterprises.

The “New Jizzakh” project is aimed at creating a comfortable urban environment with modern infrastructure and extensive social amenities.
