New Heat Tariffs Take Effect in Tashkent from 27 October
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — From 27 October, new, higher tariffs for centralized heating services come into effect in Tashkent for households, budget-funded institutions, and wholesale consumers, according to the city hokim’s decision.
The base tariff is set at 711,641 soums per Gcal (excluding VAT). Household consumers will pay 139,860 soums per Gcal, budget organizations 925,797 soums per Gcal, and other wholesale consumers 342,296 soums per Gcal, also excluding VAT.
Veolia Energy Tashkent previously explained that the tariff increase is aimed at ensuring the stable operation of the heating system and covering costs for production and transportation of thermal energy.
