New Fruit Processing Plant ERMAK-ALO Opens in Ferghana
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A new fruit processing enterprise, ERMAK-ALO LLC, officially opened in the small industrial zone of the Kirguli district in Ferghana. The ceremony was attended by Ferghana Region Hokim Khayrullo Bozorov, local entrepreneurs, and community representatives.
The hokim congratulated attendees on the Navruz holiday, emphasizing that the launch of the enterprise is a significant event that will contribute to the region’s economic development. Special attention was given to supporting entrepreneurship in Uzbekistan, implementing modern technologies, and applying innovative approaches to produce competitive goods.
The enterprise was established by entrepreneur Valijonos Salikhov and has created 100 new jobs. The project cost $2 million, and ERMAK-ALO’s products are supplied both to the domestic market and for export. The company plans to increase annual production to $2 million and expand its export potential.
The ERMAK brand, founded in 1992 as a family business, currently employs around 800 people. Its products are exported to more than 12 countries, with successful representatives in the United Arab Emirates and South Korea.
The opening ceremony included a ribbon-cutting, a prayer blessing from elders, and a guided tour of the plant’s production facilities.
