New football season kicks off in Uzbekistan

Defending champions of Uzbekistan Pakhtakot defeated Navbakhor Namangan with the score 2-0. Igor Sergeev and Jora Oganesyan netted goals for Tashkent club.

Uzbekistan vice-champions Bunyodkor netted five goals against Sogdiana, while Locomotive beat Bukhoro with the score 5-1.

Debutant of the league Guliston outplayed Kyzylkum Zarafshan with the score 2-0. Nasaf and Almalyk shared spoils after a 2-2 draw. Anvar Berdiev’s only goal helped Neftchi to grab all three points against Dinamo Samarkand.

Metalurg’s Aleksander Kovalev assisted his team to outplay Shortan. The match ended with the score 1-0.
