Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today, Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov introduced Furkat Sidikov as new deputy minister at an expanded meeting of the board of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Foreign Ministry said.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov addressed the meeting.
Furkat Sidikov previously held a number of senior positions in the structure of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in 2015–2020 he worked as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
He is 49 years old. After returning from Islamabad, in accordance with the established rules, he was in quarantine for two weeks.
