New Customs Code discussed n Ferghana region

Executive Committee of Ferghana regional Council of the Liberal-Democratic Party of Uzbekistan, faction of the party in Legislative Chamber and Ferghana regional department of the State Customs Committee of Uzbekistan organized a seminar titled “Customs Code of Uzbekistan new edition – legal bases of improving customs affairs and further development of entrepreneurship”.
Members of UzLiDeP, MPs, customs officers, representatives of justice body, experts and businesses attended the event.
It was underlined that the Government pays great attention to development of small and private businesses. The Government works on improving business environment in the country and provides various benefits to them.
Currently, Uzbekistan develops new Customs Code to improve customs procedures, declaration, certification, sanitary and epidemiologic control processes. It will also introduce one-stop-shop principle to customs service.
At the meeting, the participants considered draft Customs Code and order of conducting export-import operations, preventing violations, etc.
The participants developed recommendations on further improving draft Customs Code.
