New Appointments Announced in Uzbekistan’s Regions
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A series of new administrative appointments have been made across several regions of Uzbekistan, with new hokims (district and city governors) taking office.
Shokhrukh Boltaev has been appointed hokim of Karmana district in Navoi region. Previously, he served as deputy hokim of the district for construction affairs.
Elyorbek Abdurakhmonov has been appointed hokim of Khanabad city in Andijan region. Before this, he worked as head of the regional department for poverty reduction and employment.
Sadriddin Shokosimov has been appointed hokim of Ahangaran city in Tashkent region, where he previously served as deputy hokim of Ahangaran district.
Anvar Boliev has become hokim of Narpay district in Samarkand region. He earlier held the position of first deputy hokim of the district.
Alisher Rashidov has been appointed hokim of Navbahor district in Navoi region. Before this, he headed the regional Department of Agriculture.
Sokhib Islamov has been appointed hokim of Forish district in Jizzakh region. He previously served as director of the Directorate of the High-Tech Agricultural Technopark and Special Industrial Zone.
