Negotiations on the demarcation of the Uzbek-Kazakh interstate border take place in Almaty

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - In accordance with the previously reached agreements, on 1-5 July 2019, a regular meeting of the Uzbek-Kazakhstan Joint Demarcation Commission was held in Almaty (Kazakhstan).

During the meeting, the parties continued to work on the drafting of final documents on the demarcation of the interstate border, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan said.

The meeting participants agreed on specific dates for the commencement of field demarcation work at selected sections of the Uzbek-Kazakh State border.

Following the talks, the head of delegation, the first deputy chairman of the State Land Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Tulkin Abdullayev, and the Ambassador-at-large of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Zulfiya Amanzholova, signed the relevant protocol.
