Negotiations on New Investment and Trade Projects Involving Uzbekistan Held in Brussels
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 1 October, Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade, Laziz Kudratov, held a series of meetings in Brussels with leaders of the European Commission, relevant ministries and agencies, as well as representatives of Belgium’s business community.
The discussions focused on implementing projects in infrastructure, energy, and communications, as well as preparations for upcoming bilateral events and international economic forums. Particular attention was paid to green economy initiatives, sustainable logistics, and attracting investment to emerging sectors.
The parties agreed to organize trade missions in November to Uzbekistan and Brussels. These missions will include meetings between government officials and business representatives aimed at deepening practical cooperation.
During meetings with companies, prospects for collaboration were discussed in sectors such as pharmaceuticals, digital technologies, capital markets, transport, and innovative medicine.
At the conclusion of the visit, both sides confirmed the European Union’s and Belgium’s readiness to expand their partnership with Uzbekistan and implement joint projects to promote economic growth and strengthen investment integration.
