Neftchi Crowned Champions After 24-Year Wait
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Matchday 29 of the Uzbekistan Super League has produced a new champion: Ferghana’s Neftchi secured a confident 4–1 victory over Kyzylkum and clinched the league title ahead of schedule.
The match at the packed Istiqlol Stadium became the highlight of the year for Uzbek football.
With this win, Neftchi reached 64 points, making it impossible for any rival to catch up. For the club, it is the first championship title in 24 years — a long-awaited triumph that fans celebrated with great enthusiasm.
