Nearly 9,000 Uzbeks Visited Egypt in Two Months

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Approximately 8,890 citizens of Uzbekistan visited Egypt for tourism purposes in January–February 2026, according to the National Committee on Statistics of Uzbekistan.

Compared to the same period last year, the figure decreased by 2,200 people.

The majority of trips were made for tourism, accounting for 8,463 travelers. Another 424 Uzbek citizens visited Egypt to see relatives, while two traveled for education and one for medical treatment.

Despite the decline in overall numbers, Egypt remains one of the most popular international destinations for Uzbek travelers.
