Nearly 590,000 Uzbek Citizens Traveled Abroad for Tourism In January 2026

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In January 2026, a total of 589,647 citizens of Uzbekistan traveled abroad for tourism purposes, which is 38,200 more than during the same period last year, or an increase of 6.9%, according to the National Statistics Committee.

The leading destination was the Kyrgyz Republic, with 232,174 travelers, followed by Tajikistan (98,659) and Kazakhstan (88,012).

Among other popular international destinations for Uzbek tourists were Saudi Arabia (62,655), Russia (32,291), Türkiye (17,288), the UAE (16,030), Thailand (6,890), China (6,117), and Egypt (4,585).
