Nearly 18,000 Enterprises with Foreign Capital Registered in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As of 1 December 2025, Uzbekistan had 17.9 thousand enterprises with foreign capital, the National Statistics Committee reported.

Of these, 4,228 are joint ventures with foreign investors, while 13,672 are fully foreign-owned companies. Over the past five years, the number of such enterprises has increased by 1.9 times.

China remains the leading country by number of enterprises with foreign investment in Uzbekistan, with 4,873 companies, followed by Russia with 3,209 and Türkiye with 2,109. The top ten countries by presence also include Kazakhstan with 1,199 enterprises, South Korea with 691, Afghanistan with 637, the United Arab Emirates with 404, Tajikistan with 386, India with 364, and the United States with 353.

These figures reflect sustained growth in foreign investor interest in Uzbekistan’s economy and the continued expansion of international business activity in the country.
