Navruz celebrated in Malaysia
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – On 16 March 2019, the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Kuala Lumpur organized a solemn celebration of Nowruz with the participation of our compatriots living in Malaysia.
Opening the festive event, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Malaysia Ravshan Usmanov congratulated the guests on the upcoming spring holiday, Navruz, and also informed about the socio-economic transformations being carried out in the republic, the results of the socio-economic development of the country for 2018, the most important priorities and events held under the State Program "Year of active investment and social development."
At the same time, separate gratitude was expressed to our citizens for their active participation in the development and expansion of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Malaysia in the educational, trade, economic, investment and tourism fields.
In particular, it was noted that thanks to the efforts of our compatriots working in leading Malaysian universities, the opening of branches and Uzbek-Malaysian faculties of universities such as the Technological University of Malaysia, the University of Management and Entrepreneurship "Binary" and the Malaysian Integrated Business College are secured. Lectures and seminars of leading professors of educational institutions of Malaysia are organized on a regular basis, as well as cooperation in the field of training and advanced training of specialists and exchange of students with universities of the republic.
It was emphasized that video lessons on mathematics developed by our compatriot in the Uzbek language were introduced into the school curriculum of Uzbekistan. On the initiative of Uzbek students, tele-bridges and meetings between compatriots and representatives of a number of ministries and departments of the Republic of Uzbekistan are held. Efforts are being made to increase exports and expand its range, as well as to attract tourists from Malaysia to our country.
Following the meeting, compatriots unanimously agreed on the need to increase their activity in the development of the economic and social life of Uzbekistan through the extensive use of mechanisms of public diplomacy. Highly qualified specialists from Uzbekistan expressed their willingness to provide their experiences on improving various spheres of public life in Uzbekistan, based on their specialties and personal experience for the benefit of the prosperity of our common homeland.
