NASA Astronaut Michael López-Alegría to Visit Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — From 30 March to 1 April, Tashkent will host the international Space Technology Conference 2026. Among the participants will be world-renowned NASA astronaut Michael López-Alegría.

Michael López-Alegría is one of the most experienced astronauts in NASA’s history. He has participated in six space missions, spent over 296 days in space, and completed 10 spacewalks — a record within the agency.

In addition, López-Alegría led the first-ever private missions to the International Space Station (ISS).

His participation in the conference will offer a unique opportunity to discuss the latest advancements in space technology and to exchange insights with international experts and members of the scientific community.
