Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 6 February 2020, a training seminar was held at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the priority tasks outlined in the field of supporting women in the country.

The event was attended by chairmen of women’s committees of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regions and cities of Tashkent, districts and cities of the country, heads of trade union organizations, first deputy chairmen of Kengashes for coordinating the activities of self-government bodies of citizens.

In particular, it was about the essence and significance of the Message of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sh. Mirziyoyev Oliy Majlis from 24 January 2020, the role of state bodies and public organizations in protecting women, providing targeted assistance and supporting families with difficult living conditions.

Attention was focused on specific activities aimed at actively transitioning the digital economy in the country and the goals set in this direction, the tasks of ensuring macroeconomic stability and preventing inflation in 2020, priority issues for development based on the strategic positions of agriculture, improving the well-being of the population and strengthening them social protection, poverty reduction.

- This year, within the framework of state programs and through the development of entrepreneurship, priority attention will be paid to creating 500 thousand new jobs, supporting entrepreneurial initiatives to solve social problems on the ground, especially the development of entrepreneurship among youth and women, - said Senate Chairwoman T. Narbaeva. In addition, the awakening in people of the desire to become an entrepreneur, the provision of microfinance services to the population and entrepreneurs, and the expansion of wide opportunities for financial resources in, public procurement - will be one of the main goals.
