Namangan Region Explores New Tourism Infrastructure Projects

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A national working group, led by Abdullaziz Akkulov, Chairman of the Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan, conducted a comprehensive review of tourism projects in the Namangan region.

The focus was on initiatives aimed at developing the tourism sector, creating modern infrastructure, and establishing new tourist routes.

The first visit was to a tourist street at the intersection of Lutfiy and Bank Streets in Namangan city, where plans were reviewed to further improve the area and transform it into a modern tourist destination.

The group then visited the Floriculture Center, examining initiatives to modernize the infrastructure and establish a major tourism hub. Special attention was given to the “Qamchiq Mountains Resort” project, implemented by Aisha Group, which was noted for its potential to enhance the region’s tourism appeal.

The delegation also assessed the development prospects of the Ahskikent Archaeological Park and tourist projects along the Syr Darya River. In Chust district, the creation of a 16-hectare artisan village in the Sadacha neighborhood was discussed, along with plans to develop the Pansoda neighborhood as a specialized “artisan quarter” to preserve and promote national traditions.

The final stop was the village of Gova, where initiatives were presented to designate the area as a tourist village, improve infrastructure, and expand available services.

Officials emphasized that the implementation of these projects is expected to further develop the region’s tourism infrastructure, create new jobs, and significantly strengthen Namangan’s tourist potential.
