Namangan Company Fined for Bypassing Exchange Trading in the Sale of Cottonseed Oil

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Competition Committee has identified violations in the activities of CHUST BARAKA YOG‘ MOY LLC, which in 2024–2025 sold highly liquid goods in the category of cottonseed oil directly under bilateral contracts, bypassing exchange trading.

Such actions are considered manipulative and restrictive to competition.

In accordance with Article 29 of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Competition,” the sale of highly liquid and monopolized goods without offering them through exchange trading is prohibited.

As a result, the territorial department of the Competition Committee in Namangan Region initiated proceedings against the company and applied enforcement measures предусмотренные законом.

In addition, CHUST BARAKA YOG‘ MOY LLC was issued mandatory instructions to eliminate the identified violations and to prevent similar practices in the future.
