Musa Erniyazov receives breastplate of the Ministry of Public Education “Ta’lim Khomiysi”
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Chairman of the Jokarga Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan Musa Erniyazov was awarded with a breastplate of the Ministry of Public Education of Uzbekistan “Ta’lim Khomiysi” for the largest amount of additional funding directed to schools from the local budget.
The Minister of Public Education of Uzbekistan, Sherzod Shermatov, handed over the breastplate “Ta’lim Khomiysi” to Musa Erniyazov on 24 September during his working visit to Karakalpakstan.
Musa Erniyazov was awarded a badge for his contribution to the development of the sphere of public education in Karakalpakstan.
It should be noted that in 2018, Karakalpakstan sent additional funds in the amount of 81.19 billion soums from the local budget to support schools or 245,500 soums per pupil, which is the highest among other administrative and territorial units of Uzbekistan . Basically, the funds were used to improve the material and technical base of educational institutions.
Minister of Public Education of Uzbekistan Sherzod Shermatov said: “On behalf of the Ministry of Public Education of Uzbekistan, I express my gratitude for the support of the sphere of public education. Under the leadership of the President of Uzbekistan, large-scale reforms in the sphere of public education began in the country and we need to mobilize all the forces and opportunities for the successful implementation of the tasks set.”
“I hope that the leaders of other regions are also stepping up their work in this area. By investing in the education of children, we provide our bright future,” the minister added.
To raise the level of schools there is still much to be done and, therefore, local authorities need to allocate additional funds on a priority basis and pay special attention to the preparation of schools for the autumn-winter period, the provision of drinking water and the fencing of school areas.
Now in Karakalpakstan there are 706 schools of general education, in which more than 331,000 children are studying. In addition, there are 17 centers of children’s creativity “Barkamol avlod” in Karakalpakstan.
