Mudflow floods over 150 houses in Kumkurgan

According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan, 157 houses were flooded as a result of mudflows. About 1,300 inhabitants were evacuated to safe places.

Local authorities have created operational staff to deal with the consequences of mudflows. The staff headed the khokim of Kumkurgan district.

The staff consists of representatives of the various bodies, including emergency and internal affairs bodies. The necessary forces and means have been mobilized.
