MPs of Legislative Committee, representatives of the Constitutional Court, Supreme Court, Supreme Economic Court, Prosecutor-General’s Office, Ministry of Justice, NGOs, and others participated at the event.

It was noted that the firm legal framework for legislative process was created in Uzbekistan. The laws “On normative-legal acts”, “On order of training draft laws and their introduction to Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan”, “On regulation of the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis” and others were adopted.

Participation of the political parties in formation of legislative acts opened new opportunities for participation of all layers of population in legislative process. Competition between parties improves process of adoption of laws.

It was underlined that the law “On normative-legal acts” in new edition introduced mandatory expertise of the legislative acts. All normative-legal acts should undergo economic, financial, scientific and ecologic and other expertise.

At the end of the event, the participants adopted recommendations directed at further improving legislative process.
