MPs considered a draft law “On introduction of changes and amendments to law “On political parties”, which was developed to strengthen role and importance of political parties in work of local Councils of Deputies in the region.
The document is aimed at further improving efficiency of the activities of the party groups in the regional Councils of Deputies to protect interests and rights of their voters.
The draft law will set rules for forming party groups, lowest number of MPs in the groups of local Councils of Deputies. It also regulates close of party groups and other relations.
The draft law includes clause, which allows the party groups to submit candidacy of chairperson and deputy chairpersons, heads of committees and commissions of the local Deputies Councils. But half of the Deputies should support the candidacies. The document stipulates that proposals of the party groups should be considered at the sessions of the Councils of Deputies.
MPs said that proposed changes to the law “On political parties” will help to improve role of parties in solving social-economic tasks in the places, strengthen responsibility of the local state bodies in their activities, etc.
Legislative Chamber considered a draft law “On introduction of changes and amendments to some legislative acts of Uzbekistan in connection with stimulation of attraction of foreign direct investments”.
The document is directed at stimulating attraction of foreign investments into high-technologic sectors of the industry, creating of favourable conditions for the investors, etc.
MPs also discussed a draft law “On preventing law violations”, which is directed at reforming judicial-legal system, improving legal mechanisms on ensuring public security and public order, protect rights and interests of the citizens, and others.
The document sets norms on main goals, tasks, principles and main directions of preventing violation of laws, as well as rights and authorities of the subjects, responsible for preventing law violations, etc.
Legislative Chamber passed the laws and adopted corresponding decisions.
