The motorcycle group was created in line with the Resolution of the President of Uzbekistan “On measures to further improve the road safety management system”.

The group will ensure road safety in hard-to-reach roadways and streets and places of mass congestion.

The Department said that inspectors, who have A category driver licenses and experience of motorcycle driving, were selected to the group. They underwent special training.

From 16 August 2017, the road police officers started to patrol the city. If the experiment ends with success, the motorcycle group will patrol Tashkent city’s roads on ongoing basis.
