More Than 60 Kindergarten Children Hospitalized With Fever in Ferghana

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 21 February, the Ferghana Regional Infectious Diseases Hospital received reports concerning cases of elevated body temperature among 62 children attending state-run preschool educational institutions No. 2, 58, and 61 in the city of Ferghana. This was reported by the Regional Department of School and Preschool Education.

According to medical authorities, the condition of all hospitalized children is currently assessed as satisfactory.

Healthcare professionals are conducting a comprehensive assessment of changes in the children’s health status based on in-depth clinical and laboratory analyses.

At the same time, the Ministry of Preschool and School Education, together with other relevant agencies, is carrying out a detailed investigation into the circumstances of the incident.
