Monument to family of Shaahmad Shamakhmudov re-opened in Tashkent

On 9 May 2018, a monument to the family of the blacksmith Shaahmad Shamakhmudov, who took 15 children during the war, was opened at the People’s Friendship Square in Tashkent.
The monument, which is named as the Monument of Friendship, was installed in Tashkent in 1982. In 2008, it was relocated to one of district of Tashkent city. T
The monument to the family of Shaahmed Shamakhmudov was relocated from Tashkent suburbs to Friendship Park (former Babur Park) in May 2017.
