Modernization of a Road Section Begins in Yangi-Namangan District

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In the Yangi-Namangan district, work has begun to modernize a section of the Chartak highway from the 29th to the 35th kilometer, located on the northern bypass road 4R-117, the district hokimiyat’s information service reported.

As part of the project, the roadway will be expanded to six lanes, drainage channels will be installed, and modern pedestrian walkways will be constructed. The works aim to increase the road’s traffic capacity and improve road safety.

The project is being carried out by the contractor Rovuston Qurilish Servis LLC in accordance with Protocol No. 137 of the Presidium of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, dated 11 December 2024.

According to the district administration, the modernization of this road section is part of comprehensive measures to develop transport infrastructure and create more comfortable conditions for residents and visitors.

The upgraded road is expected to reduce traffic congestion, enhance safety for drivers and pedestrians, and contribute to the socio-economic development of the Yangi-Namangan district.
