Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - An event dedicated to the modern development of Uzbekistan was held in the capital of Japan, Dunyo news agency reported.
It was organized by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Japan in cooperation with the Japan-Uzbekistan Friendship Association.
During the event, representatives of public, scientific, academic, business circles and the media of Japan, as well as Uzbek youth studying in this country, are presented with information on the results of the visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Japan, as well as the contents of the Message from the President of the Oliy Majlis.
It was noted that the summit visit to Japan and the fruitful, confidential negotiations held will further enhance bilateral ties, opening up new opportunities for expanding cooperation in the socio-political, trade, economic, investment, scientific, educational and humanitarian spheres.
Particular attention is paid to the main directions of the Address of the Head of State to the Parliament, in which the results of work for 2019 were summarized, as well as the priorities of the country’s socio-economic development for 2020 were determined.
The Japanese side appreciated the announcement of 2020 in Uzbekistan as the Year of the Development of Science, Education and the Digital Economy.
Within the framework of the event, an exposition of national clothes and objects of national applied art was demonstrated, as well as materials about the rich cultural heritage of the Uzbek people and tourist attractions of our country.
The program of the Japanese amateur art group Guliston, which included the performance of Uzbek dances and music, was welcomed by the participants of the event with applause.
