Mobile operators move to new format of making long-distance calls

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Mobile communication operators of Uzbekistan will introduce new format of dialing to make long-distance and international calls from 1 October 2014.

Ucell said that new rules of dialing of numbers to make international and long-distance calls area coming into force from 1 October 2014 due to transfer to internal standards of numeration.

According to Beeline, from 1 October the users should dial “0” instead of “8” to make long-distance calls and “00” instead of “8-10” to make international calls.

The users should still use “+” sign before numbers to make international and long-distance calls.
