Mobile Containers for Methane Refueling to Be Launched in Ferghana Valley
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In 2025, mobile containers are planned to be deployed in the Ferghana Valley to ensure uninterrupted operation of methane refueling stations during the winter season. This was reported by Turgunboy Beknazarov, head of the department for major consumers at Khududgazta’minot, according to Daryo.
Beknazarov explained that gas for the refueling stations will be supplied not only from gas-producing areas within the valley but also from Tashkent and the Syrdarya region.
This approach is intended to evenly distribute pressure loads during seasonal fluctuations.
As part of the pilot project, out of 447 operational methane refueling stations in the Ferghana Valley, 50 stations in Andijan, Ferghana, and Namangan regions will receive gas supply through mobile containers.
Beknazarov emphasized that stable operation of refueling stations is crucial both for drivers and gas supply enterprises. The use of mobile containers will help prevent fuel shortages during cold periods and ensure the uninterrupted functioning of transport and specialized equipment.
He also noted that any station downtime would result in losses for Khududgazta’minot, as these facilities provide employment, tax contributions, and stable gas supply.
The project is being implemented jointly with Chinese state-owned companies and Uzbekneftegaz. So far, 92 of the planned 150 mobile containers have been delivered to the country. Their commissioning is scheduled for December 1, with the remaining 58 containers expected to arrive by the end of the month.
