MIT Library Establishes Largest-Ever Book Corner Dedicated to Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Hayden Library at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), one of the world’s leading universities in higher education and research, has established a special book corner dedicated to Uzbekistan, named the Uzbek Books Collection Corner.

The collection includes over 120 scholarly, historical, and literary publications. Among them are works by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, books on the history of modern Uzbekistan, the Jadid movement, the period of national revival, as well as works reflecting the country’s rich cultural and spiritual heritage.

It is noted that this collection has become the largest dedicated to a single foreign country in the history of the MIT library.

The initiative is expected to promote a broader and more systematic understanding of Uzbekistan’s centuries-old history, national values, and contemporary development among the international academic and research community.
