Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the United States, Javlon Vakhabov, visited the state of Mississippi, Dunyo reported.
During the visit, the diplomat met with newly elected head of state Tate Reeves, outgoing governor Phil Bryant, state minister of agriculture Andy Gibson.
It should be noted that the former Mississippi Governor F. Bryant visited Uzbekistan as part of a delegation of official and business circles of the state in May last year.
The meeting noted that the Mississippi, like Uzbekistan, seeks to develop its economy, attract investment in the state, create new jobs and improve the quality of life of people.
In turn, the 65th head of the state of Mississippi T. Reeves, noting that he is well aware of large-scale reforms in our country, emphasized that the head of Uzbekistan was able in a short period of time to take significant steps to increase the welfare of his people and strengthen the country’s authority on international arena.
He assured that his team is ready to expand partnerships with Uzbekistan in the trade, economic and investment sectors, as well as in the field of security.
An agreement was reached with Minister of Agriculture E. Gibson to arrange a visit to Uzbekistan by the chairman and members of the Mississippi Legislative Chamber for Agriculture to discuss prospects for cooperation in the agricultural sector.
It should be noted that at present, relations between Uzbekistan and the state of Mississippi are characterized by high and intensive dynamics of multifaceted cooperation.
