Mirziyoyev Visits Revitalized State Museum of the History of Temurids

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the State Museum of the History of the Temurids following the completion of its reconstruction, timed to coincide with the 690th anniversary of the birth of the great commander and statesman Amir Temur.

Amir Temur united Mawarannahr into a single state, creating a powerful empire with its capital in Samarkand. He established legal norms for governance through the "Institutes of Temur" and made a significant contribution to the development of science, culture, and art, laying the foundations for the Temurid Renaissance. The architectural monuments of his era are still considered a matter of national pride.

To celebrate the anniversary on a grand scale, the President signed a decree on February 5, declaring April as the month of Amir Temur and providing for educational and cultural events involving scientists, writers, and artists.

The reconstructed museum building is equipped with modern digital devices and equipment. The first floor features a section titled "The Great Sahibkiran – Founder of the Second Renaissance," while the second floor houses interactive expositions about the Temurid era utilizing artificial intelligence, smart technologies, 3D exhibits, and geographic maps.

During the inspection of the updated displays, the President emphasized the significance of studying and popularizing historical heritage. He noted the necessity of involving youth, the older generation, and foreign guests in museums to expand knowledge of national history.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev left a commemorative entry in the museum's guest book, expressing confidence that the history and legacy of Amir Temur continue to inspire the development of modern Uzbekistan.
